~ Louisa May Alcott
Hi, welcome to my web site. This is where I have photos for all interested parties, and perhaps a few odd facts about me. You can check them out at your leisure and won't have to bug me to email them to you any more. Check back sometimes, I update occasionally. :-) Amazing-I'm updating! Last update was on 07/06/07 with the addition of Montana flower photos to 2007 Places and Travels. Coming soon-Montana scenery and wildlife, and Utah skiing in March! I have lots more to add and I'm really going to bring this site up to date this time! Really! (stop your giggling..) |

We just came back from an incredible trip to Montana! We went horseback
riding in the mountains for a week and spent a couple of days driving
through Yellowstone. Did you know Yellowstone is home to the highest
quantity of wildlife for the land area in America? Boy did we sure notice,
and have the pictures to prove it! |

| 01/30/07 I can't believe it's been a year and a half since I updated the site! I have TONS of stuff to add and I'm really going to do it this time. Check out Places and Travels, there's a few new things added already. | |

| It's 1/16/2005. Can you believe it? It's 2005 already. When I look back on the past year it is amazing to me that so much has happened in such a short period of time. I have been terrible about updating my web site lately--sorry all. I've been so busy that I don't take much pictures these days, and when I do, I never get around to posting them. I do have a lot of photos from road trips, and quite a few from my wedding and honeymoon, and I'm going to try to post them soon. So let's see...in March 2004 I got a pretty decent job at Fidelity, working as an analyst in the problem resolution department of customer service for payroll. We service a number of large companies. Basically what I do is fix problems with peoples' paychecks. It's tough sitting at a desk all day with no windows, but the job is interesting (I'm never bored!) and I like the people that I work with. The biggest complaint is that I'm always there and never have any free time anymore. Not much else happened that summer, except Rick and I spent as much time as we could together. For Rick, he was laid off from the East Derry Fire Department in September, and then hired by the Derry Fire Department (who is taking over East Derry's district little by little) on the same day. It was a pretty scary 5 minutes unemployed, but he managed to live through it! (hehe) The nice part was that he didn't lose any benefits and Derry pays him the same pay as East Derry did--usually when you go to a new fire department you have to start over at the bottom of the pay scale. Also in September, Rick competed in the Firefighter's Combat Challenge which is basically an obstacle course for firefighters, utilizing the types of obstacles they might find while fighting a fire such as carrying hose up flights of stairs, dragging an incapacitated person, etc. The course has to be completed within 9 minutes or you are disqualified. Rick was able to complete it in 3 minutes 11 seconds, which was higher than he wanted (he was aiming for 3 minutes) but as his first time competing that was a fabulous time! He put a lot of time and effort into training for it and it really paid off. In October, my best friend got married, so I took a quick 4-day trip to Tucson, Phoenix, and finally Sedona to the wedding. I was able to visit with my family in Tucson briefly while I was there (don't ask me how, but I managed to see everyone!) and really enjoyed the drive to Sedona from Tucson, which I had never done before. Actually I'd never been to Sedona before. Michelle's wedding was beautiful and I am really happy for her! The visit to Tucson, however, really reminded me that that part of my life is over, though, and I don't think I'll ever go back, even for a visit. (We'll see if I change my mind later-Rick might want to visit and I'd have to be his tour guide :-) And of course, all the excitment of the year culminated in our own wedding in November. At the same time, we also purchased a condo together in Merrimack that we moved into right after we got back from our honeymoon in the Bahamas. (Well, technically, Rick moved in the week before the wedding, and I moved in right after we got back.) Merrimack is a small town about halfway between Nashua and Manchester, right off Route 3/Everett Turnpike. Our condo complex is small with only 3 buildings. Our condo itself is 1700 square feet, which is kinda small, but we're managing. There are three floors-the main floor with the living room and kitchen, the second floor with two bedrooms, and the basement which is fully finished. There is a fireplace in the living room and an awesome wood stove in the basement. There is a covered carport for my car, which I love because it keeps the snow off my car at night so I don't have to scrape it before I go to work in the morning! It's very quiet and our neighbors are nice. The only disadvantage is there is no yard for the dogs so we have to walk them at least twice a day. For the wedding..take a look at the Wedding Photos! I say dogs because about a month after our wedding we also found a puppy! We wanted to get a Jack Russell terrier (I've wanted one for years, and Rick used to have a rat terrier, a very similar breed, that he loved) and were planning to wait until some time in February or so, but then in December found a breeder with puppies ready to go, so we ended up getting Oakley a little ahead of the planned schedule. She is really great though--very smart, eager to please, and incredibly funny! She has the most amazing stunts and personality of any dog I've ever met. OK that's the short version of the story of last year. More pages with pictures later! Miss you all! |

Rick (more photos) On November 13th, 2003, I met a truly wonderful man, Rick. On November 6th, 2004, I married him! Rick is a firefighter with Derry, New Hampshire, which is a town about 20 minutes southeast of Manchester. We share many interests, including horseback riding, photography, skiing, and watching movies. There's not much else that I can say briefly except that he is the sweetest, most kind man I have ever met, and I consider myself the luckiest lady in the world to know him. And I hope to have him in my life for the rest of my life! |
